While it’s not unusual for Umbaugh professionals to be quoted in newspapers throughout the Midwest as a result of presentations before local government and school board meetings, several high profile articles lately have featured Umbaugh experts.

A recent issue of the Indianapolis Business Journal featured Loren Matthes in an article titled TIF Expert is Adviser to Many Municipalities.  If you’d like to read the full article about Loren and her work restructuring TIF debt for Carmel, click here

Subscribers to the national publication The Bond Buyer should check out the September 25 issue.  Umbaugh’s Colette Irwin-Knott contributed an editorial column titled NAIPFA Opposes Dold Amendment.  Colette just completed her two-year term as National Association of Independent Public Finance Advisors president.  She served during a very high profile time while the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) were considering new professional standards and rules for financial advisers.

Umbaugh executive partner Gary Malone was quoted in a September 24 Indianapolis Star article, providing background information on why municipalities might consider selling their utilities.  Click here for the full article.
